This photo is among six of mine chosen for the upcoming New York State of Mind group street photography exhibition at the Street Soup Gallery in Milan, Italy.
Street Soup is a publishing house and art gallery located in the heart of Milan with an exclusive focus on street and documentary photography. The exhibition, featuring the work or a global group of street photographers, will be on view at the gallery located at Via Gonzaga number 7, from May 27 through June 3.
“If we had to associate a city with street photography, the first that would come to mind would be New York. We can safely say that street photography was born right there in New York, just like many of the masters of this art. One of those masters is Richard Sandler who will honor the exhibition as a special guest. New York, in many ways, can be considered the center of the world. The Big Apple is a melting pot of many varied cultures and people. Behind every corner there is a story worth telling and of course photographing. For this reason our gallery has decided to pay a tribute to this great city and its artists. In addition to Richard Sandler and other international photographers’ work the gallery will exhibit art from a private collection by Keith Haring and Andy Warhol.” – Street Soup
